3. Gluten Free Finger Foods Cheesy Garlic KnotsGluten-Free Cheesy Garlic Knots

I think gluten-free cheesy garlic knots are the food of  Eden. Don’t you believe it? Then let’s cook and after that you tell me if I’m wrong.

What’s the recipe? Here it is:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum (found in most grocery stores)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Step 1Mixing Almond Flour with Other Ingredients

A medium bowl would be enough for mixing almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum,  garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. So take it and whisk them all together.

Then, take another bowl. There, mix olive oil and almond milk. And pour the ingredients into dry ingredients, and stir to make a soft dough out of it.

If your dough gets sticky, don’t worry.  You just have to add a little more almond flour to the tablespoon to make it easier to work with.

Step 2Heating Oven

Now, heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Put parchment paper on a baking sheet and take small pickles of dough. And roll them into long ropes (6-8 inches). And tie each rope into a knot, then put them on the baking sheet.

Step 3 Brushing the Tops of Each Knot With the Mixture.

Mix melted butter and minced garlic and brush the tops of each knot with the mixture. After that, mix mozzarella and Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl and sprinkle them on the knots.

Step 4Baked Gluten-Free Cheesy Garlic Knots

Bake for 15 minutes. If you see the cheese has melted and seems bubbly, then your work is done. Now you can enjoy it, and if you want, then you can gimme feedback.  I am waiting.

Tips:

  • If you’re the one who likes the knots chewier, then use a bit less almond flour.
  • If you’re a garlic lover like me then you can add an extra clove to the melted butter for an even stronger garlic taste.
