1. Gluten-Free Buffalo Chicken WingsGluten-Free Orange Glazed Buffalo Chicken Wings

Gluten-free buffalo chicken wings are a must-have when you’re planning Super Bowl or March Madness parties

Beacause this recipe is easy to make, tasty to gulp, and most importantly, healthy to eat.

But if you want to make it like professionals, then here is how you can do it:

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated at the joint (tips discarded, optional)
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your spice preference)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or ghee
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)

Equipment:

  • Large bowl
  • Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Mixing bowls

Instructions:

Step1 Preheating the Oven

Before we start, first let’s preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and dry off the chicken wings with paper towels.

Then, take a big bowl, put almond flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper and mix together.

Step2Coated Chicken Wings in Almond Flour

Now, dip the chicken wings one by one in the almond flour mix to coat. Shake them off for any excess.

After that, take a baking sheet, put the wings there, and bake them for 30 minutes. In the middle of baking, turn them over and bake for another 20-25 minutes. Bake them until they become golden and crispy.

Step 3Red Hot Organic Buffalo Sauce

While the wings are baking, take a bowl and pour some hot sauce and melted butter, or you can also use ghee. Then, mix them together to make the perfect buffalo sauce.

Step 4Chicken Wings Tossed with Buffalo Sauce

If the wings are ready, then toss them in the buffalo sauce until they’re all covered.

You’ve to serve them immediately. If you want, you can also use dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese dressing. It’ll give an extra kick to your appetizer.

Tip:

If you like extra crispy wings, then after the first 30 minutes of baking, turn the oven up to  425°F (220°C) for the rest of the time.

2. Gluten-Free Nachos with Homemade GuacamoleNachos with Homemade Guacamole

If you are hosting a Super Bowl party, then this gluten-free nachos with home guacamole recipe is for you.

Trust me, after trying this, you will forget about store-bought nachos forever. What’s the recipe, then? Here it is:

Ingredients:

  • 2 large green plantains, thinly sliced
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (use a pre-shredded bag marked gluten-free for ease)
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for serving

For the Guacamole:

  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Equipment:

  • Food processor (optional) for guacamole
  • Large skillet
  • Medium bowl

Instructions:

Step 1Frying Pan over the stove

First, we will make the chips. Ready? If you are, then take the big frying pan and put it on the stove over medium heat. Pour vegetable oil and start heating it.

Step 2Frying the Slices of Plantain

Now, fry the slices of plantain until they turn golden and crispy. Then, put them on towels to drain the extra oil.

Step 3Nachos Baking

If you’re done with it, preheat the oven to  375°F (190°C). And take a baking sheet. Simply spread the plantain chips on that baking sheet in one layer. Then, season them with shredded cheese, tomatoes, black olives, and red onion.

Step 4Oven Baked Nachos.

Bake them all for 5-7 minutes. If you notice that the cheese has melted, then consider that your dish is done.

Now, let’s make the guacamole.

Step 1Mashing Avocados

Take avocados and mash them with a fork in a medium bowl. Add lime juice, red onion, diced tomato, salt, and pepper, and mix it up. But you’ve got to keep it a bit chunky for some texture. This is it! You’re all set, now it’s time to eat this mouthwatering food. Just serve the nachos right away with a big spoonful of guacamole on top.

Tip:

  • Add some fresh cilantro for extra flavor.

Variation:

If you don’t have plantains. Don’t worry—you can use baked sweet potato chips as a substitute. Try it! I bet it’ll still taste as delicious as plantains.

3. Gluten-Free Bang Bang ShrimpGluten-free Bang Bang Shrimp

Are you a crazy shrimp eater like me? If you do, then this recipe is a bang! Yeah! Not only that, this recipe is packed with shrimp but also sweet, spicy, and super crispy.

It’s a recipe that can please the crowd, even on football nights! So, ready to cook? Let’s gather the ingredients and start:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cornstarch (or arrowroot powder for a paleo option)
  • Vegetables (enough to fill a pot or Dutch oven)

Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (avocado mayo for a dairy-free option)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Equipment:

  • Deep pot or Dutch oven
  • Thermometer

Instructions:

Step 1Drying off Shrimps

First, you have to dry off the shrimp. You can use paper towels to do that. Then, put them in a shallow bowl and toss the shrimp in the cornstarch.

If you see they’re all coated perfectly, then consider that you have done it perfectly.

Put the vegetable oil in a pot or Dutch oven, then heat it up on medium-high. {350°F (175°C) to 375°F (190°C) according to the thermometer}

Step 2Frying Shrimps

Now, carefully put the shrimp in the hot oil. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side. If they turn brown-golden, then they are done!

Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked shrimp to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and let them sit there for two minutes.

Step 3Shrimp Dish With Ingredients.

Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl until they get smooth. I like it really spicy. So, I usually add more Sriracha. Then, add some salt and pepper also. If you don’t like spicy food, simply ignore adding Sriracha.

Put them all in a big bowl and pour the bang bang sauce over them. Mix it all up until every shrimp is covered in sauce.

Serve them up right away with toppings like chopped green onions, sesame seeds, or a bit more Sriracha mayo if you want it extra spicy.

Variations:

  • If you’re a crazy spice fan, then add Sriracha or sambal oelek to the mayo before you make the sauce.
  • You can mix some shredded coconut with half of the cornstarch for a creamy texture.
  • If you’re a sauce lover, just double up on the sauce ingredients and make more.
